The food was delicious..good variety..nice ambiance and the waitress very pleasant.

Eh. Last time I went the enchiladas were pretty good.... this time they tasted like the sauce was from a can lol me nor my friend enjoyed our enchiladas but my cousin's order was delish! Not to self: no one can make enchiladas like you can at home! Lol 😜

Food is pretty good. Waitresses seemed bothered to serve us. Very unhappy. Took 30 minutes for food to arrive, but tasted good.

Best Mexican food in Rio Grande City! Very nice rustic atmosphere. Puffy tortillas is their specialty. The guacamole is good, with enough lime juice to actually make it delicious. Tacos and enchiladas were soooo buenos!

First off, they charge for chips and salsa?!!! Who does that???!!Second, no one seems enthusiastic about being here. It's a feeling of what do you want? The food is not even mediocre. They give you the smallest enchiladas possible and the beans have no flavor. This is supposed to be real Mexican food. Well, you guys are way off. Anyone driving by here, just keep going. This place is not worth your money. I had to waste mine to find out.

Service was excellent considering we had a group of 40 plus. I'm not a fan of puffy tacos or chips and they put a lot of cumin on food.

Ordered a small plate with 3 tacos and a Corona for 20$ and some change and they barely even had a spoon full of meat on them ... they charged me like 10$ for 1 Corona.... went to tacos AKA got an order of 5 tacos for less than 10$ packed with fajita plus the beans are awesome.... wouldn't recommend this place if you're trying to eat and enjoy a beer...

Too many hidden charges. As a business if you have a credit card machine let the customer know you are adding a fee for using your debit card or credit card and give them opportunity to pay in cash. I would have liked my food to be hotand bring out the orders complete, not in stages.

My sister and dad have for years made the pilgrimage to Roma Cemetery to visit the folks on The Day of the Dead. On the way back they would stop in Rio Grand City to have dinner at Caro's. They may be a little pricey but the food is fantastic. Best to catch them open between 5 and 9pm.

Sweet tea is to DIE for!!! I'll be back for the guacamole and puffy tortillas 😋👌🏼

Caro's Mexican Restaurant is a neat little gem in historic Rio Grande City. This small town eatery has a good variety of Mexican food at a very decent price. The staff are very friendly and attentive. You can tell this is a gathering place for locals as people greet each other as they walk in. Definitely recommend if you are in town!

Absolutely delicious food. The fajitas are amazing and the portions are generous. Everything is fairly priced as well. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Service was good as well.
